Going green for St. Patrick's Day

  • Savings
Back in 2010, Sydney Opera House went green for St. Patrick's Day. Since then, Tourism Ireland’s annual 'Global Greening' initiative seems to have been embraced the world over.

It was 2010 when the Sydney Opera House first went green for St. Patrick's Day as part of Tourism Ireland’s annual 'Global Greening' initiative. It was the first monumental building outside of Ireland to light up green for our national holiday, but fast forward nine years and the Global Greening takes place at 245 landmarks around the World.

Time flies and things can change over a short period of time. That is particularly true when it comes to savings and a small amount put aside each month can build up over a short period of time. With time going by so quickly, doesn’t it make sense to start saving today for tomorrow?

If you start on your savings journey today, you could build up a nice amount of money over a short period of time. Customers who started saving €75 per month nine years ago could have built up their funds to €9,422* now. Customer who saved €150 could have €18,843* today, and for those who saved €300 a month they could have built up their funds to over €37,687*.
