Celebrating strength, community and Performance at the National Ploughing Championships 2026

From the 15th to the 17th of September, Zurich Insurance was delighted to be right in the middle of the action, celebrating the strength, teamwork, and resilience of Ireland’s farming and sports communities. We’re chuffed to have been part of one of Ireland's biggest rural and community events once again this year. 

Our stand was alive with excitement as we proudly welcomed back Ireland’s Fittest Farming Pair competition and launched the brand-new Ireland’s Fittest Sports Club competition. These challenges, free to enter, pushed participants physically and mentally, all under the watchful eye of GAA legend Davy Fitzgerald. 

This year, as part of our Performance Counts pensions campaign, we brought our 'Field of Dreams' sofa to the Ploughing. Teaming up with former international rugby player Andrew Trimble, we asked visitors to share their dreams for retirement. Whether it was travelling the world, spending more time with the grandkids, or just slowing down and appreciating the little things, everyone on the “Field of Dreams” sofa had their own unique vision. At Zurich, our aim is to help your pension grow so those dreams feel a little closer to reality. 

Our stand offered more than competitions. It was a place for connection, energy, and great chats. Our team of Farm Insurance, Life, and Pensions experts were on hand over the three days, providing personal consultations and support to farmers, customers, and families alike.
