Partnering with Pride

This year, as many of us continue to work physically apart, there is even more reason to highlight the need for inclusion.

Pride Dublin is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness of the discrimination faced by LGBTQ+ people, promoting diversity and inclusion in society and championing equality for all people.

Marking June Pride Month

In June 1969, the NYC Stonewall Riots took place, sparking a movement for gay rights that has continued to this day.

Marking Pride Month is a visible legacy of the riots and is an opportunity for all of us to join together to create awareness, embrace our differences and continue to build an inclusive culture.

Working together

Stonewall, the LGBTQ+ charity bearing the famous riots’ name has recognised Zurich as a top global employer for LGBTQ+ They acknowledge Zurich’s support for LGBT+ rights and challenges, as part of our overall diversity and inclusion commitment to employees, stakeholders, and customers.

Building an inclusive culture means us talking and learning about the importance of all aspects of diversity, including with the LGBTQ+ community.

At Zurich we recognise that employees are more engaged, more efficient and happier when they can bring their authentic selves to work. That’s why we joined the United Nations Standards of Conduct for Business initiative in 2019, tackling discrimination against Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, and Intersex (LGBTI) People. Read more here.
