Zurich celebrates Pride 2025 with a host of events

Zurich’s partnership with Pride Dublin began in 2021, and since then, each year together we have celebrated diversity, equity and love. This year is no different with an exciting line-up of events for Zurich employees. In addition to the Dublin Pride March & Parade which takes place on Saturday 28th June, the programme of events Zurich has organised are open to everyone – whether part of the LGBTQ+ community, an ally or perhaps interested in hearing and learning more. 

This year marks incredible milestones: 10 years since the historic marriage referendum was passed by popular vote, 10 years since the Gender Recognition Act and 10 years since the Children and Family Relationship Act. These landmark events have significantly shaped Irish society, promoting inclusion and acceptance for all.

Zurich employees will be celebrating Pride this year with a series of in person and virtual events, culminating in the amazing Dublin Pride Parade on Sat 28th June.

We first marched in the Dublin Pride parade in 2021 and in 2024 Zurich Ireland became an official partner of Dublin Pride at Work. Our Pride committee is an important community setting, enabling LGBTQ+ colleagues to bring their authentic selves to work. Our aim is to continue to foster a work environment which is inclusive and safe, where everyone feels heard and is offered the same opportunities. Our hope is to encourage conversation and learning around LGBTQ+ topics in a safe space. 

22nd May: Dublin Pride at Work presents “Together –  An LGBTQ+ History Through Love Stories”   

As Ireland marks 10 years of marriage equality, this special storytelling event takes you on a two-thousand-year journey of LGBTQ+ people and culture as told through love stories from history and legend. 

31st May: Pride in the Park returns to Min Ryan Park, Wexford 

Pride in The Park is a free, family-friendly neuroinclusive event featuring a diverse line-up of LGBTQIA+ musicians and acts. There will also be community vendors, food trucks, and community organisations there on the day. More information on Pride in the Park can be found on Wexford Pride.

4th June: Pride Coffee Morning   

All staff are invited to join the in-person coffee mornings being held in both the Blackrock and Wexford staff restaurants.   

11th June: Pride, Zurich & Tackle Your Feelings  

In collaboration with Tackle Your Feelings, we are delighted to announce a panel discussion with some of our Tackle Your Feelings Ambassadors.  

14th June: Pride on the Pitch  

A Pride on the Pitch football tournament will take place at the Bohemians (Bohs) home ground, Dalymount Park! This friendly 5-a-side tournament is open to all (not just LGBTQ+ members), and teams will be mixed-gender.  

19th June: Dublin Pride at Work presents Pride in Sustainability 

In this session we examine the principles of sustainability from an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) lens. We’ll consider where diversity, inclusion and staff wellbeing initiatives fit within sustainability frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explain some of the most common terminology used across the three pillars.  

28th June: Dublin Pride March & Parade  

As part of our partnership with Dublin Pride, we will once again join the Dublin Pride March & Parade on Saturday 28th June. All are welcome.
