Fittest Farming Pair Terms & Conditions
The competition will be open to two people to enter as team over the age of 18. The pair will be required to have one person hang tough and the other to do step ups. The team with the most step ups will be the winner, but the time they will have will be based on the person hanging.
These terms and conditions govern your participation in the Competition (the “Competition”). The Competition is being organised by Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch, a company incorporated in Germany with registration no. 133359 having a branch in Ireland (Branch No. 910127) located at Zurich House Frascati Road, Blackrock, County Dublin (“Zurich Ireland”). The Competition will take place on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of September 2025 at the National Ploughing Championships, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. The closing date for entries is 6.00pm on the 7th of September 2025. Entries received after this time will not be considered. Entrants are deemed to have accepted the following terms and conditions by participating in the Competition:
- To enter the Competition, Zurich must receive an application form completed on behalf of the two entrants (the “Entrants”), who must submit the following details by email to fittestfarmers@zurich.com: Name, Address; Email Address and Phone Number (the “Entries”).
- Only fully completed Entries, which are submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions, will be eligible for the Competition. Entries received by any other means (including by hand delivery) will be invalid.
- The Competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland only.
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or older in order to participate.
- The following persons are not eligible to participate: employees of Zurich Ireland or employees of entities forming part of the Zurich Insurance Group; immediate family members or agents of such employees, and anyone connected with the Competition.
- Only one Entry per pair of Entrants.
- No purchase necessary.
- Not all Entries will be able to participate; the participants will be drawn at random on the 8th of September and every pair selected will be allotted a date and time during which they are eligible to participate in the Competition.
- The winning pair will be the pair of Entrants with the most step-ups (counted by Davy Fitzgerald (the “Judge”)) from all eligible Entries.
- The prize consists of €1,250 to be paid to each of the Entrants (payment to be made to the bank account of each respective Entrant).
- The winning Entrants shall each be notified by telephone within 7 days of the 18th of September (the “Announcement Date”) and may be required to provide proof of age/ verification of identity. The Judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into with the Judge. Once claimed, the winning Entrants shall receive their prize within 28 days from the date they are notified.
- The winning Entrants agree to the use of their name and image for promotional purposes and each agree to take part in associated publicity relating to the Competition, including media interviews, photos and videos and the publication of same in print and online media without further consent or payment where required to do so by Zurich Ireland.
- If the winning Entrants have not both accepted their prizes within 14 days of notification that they have won, their prizes may be forfeited and an alternative winning pair selected.
- Zurich Ireland shall not be responsible for any matter arising out of or resulting from the receipt of the prize or the failure of one of the winning Entrants to accept their prizes within the prescribed time limits/adhere to the terms and conditions of the Competition.
- Zurich Ireland cannot accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of third parties. Zurich Ireland shall have no liability to the winning Entrants in the event that they (or any one of them) are ineligible or are unable to take up their respective prizes.
- Zurich Ireland reserves the right to select an alternative Entrants as winner, should any of the winning Entrants not be in a position to take up their respective prizes. The alternative winner will be the Entrants with the next highest step count as decided by the Judge. They will be notified as above. In the event that the alternative winner does not validly accept the prize, this process will be repeated until an alternative winner accepts the prize.
- Zurich Ireland reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend or amend this Competition or the terms and conditions of the Competition, with no liability to any Entrants, prize winners or any third party. Zurich Ireland reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value, should the prize become unavailable for any reason. To the fullest extent permissible by law, Zurich Ireland shall not be liable to any individual for any loss or damage howsoever caused, whether direct, indirect or consequential (whether in contract, tort or statutory duty or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with the competition and/or prize or the taking of the prize.
- This Competition and these terms and conditions are governed by Irish Law. Any dispute arising out or in connection with this competition shall be dealt with exclusively by the courts of Ireland.

Who we share your information with: The personal data of the prizewinners (name and image) will be used by Zurich Ireland for promotional purposes. The name and county of the winners will be published on Zurich Ireland’s website. In accordance with the Code of Standards for Advertising and Marketing Communications in Ireland, the names of the prizewinners will be available for a period of one month after the Announcement Date. This can be requested by sending a stamped addressed envelope denoting the offered competition prize to Zurich Ireland at the following address: Zurich Insurance Europe AG Ireland, PO Box 78, Wexford.
How long we keep your personal information for: The personal data of the Entrants may be retained by us for a period of up to three months from the Announcement Date.
Your rights: You have various rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to: request access to it; correct any mistakes on our records; erase or restrict records if they are no longer required; and withdraw consent, where applicable. Although you have the right to object to the use of your personal data, a successful objection may have consequences (e.g. prevent us from processing and/or administering your Competition entry and you may not be able to claim any prize that you may otherwise be entitled).

Fittest Sports Club. The competition will be open to two club members over the age of 18 to represent the Registered Club as team. The Entry will also name the two people representing the Registered Club in the Competition (the “Participants”).
- A Registered Club will be a sporting organisation or community organisation who have submitted a valid Entry, as recognised by Zurich Ireland in its sole discretion.
- The Competition is open to Registered Clubs located in the Republic of Ireland only.
- The named Participants must be 18 years of age or older in order for the Entry to be valid.
- The Registered Club is responsible for ensuring that it has obtained the permission of the named Participants prior to submitting the Entry.
- Only fully completed Entries, which are submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions, will be eligible for the Competition. Entries received by any other means (including by hand delivery) will be invalid.
- The following persons are not eligible to be listed as Participants: employees of Zurich Ireland or employees of entities forming part of the Zurich Insurance Group; immediate family members or agents of such employees, and anyone connected with the Competition.
- Only one Entry per Registered Club.

- Not all Entries will be able to participate; the Registered Clubs will be drawn at random on the 8th of September and every Registered Club selected will be allotted a date and time during which their nominated Participants are eligible to participate in the Competition.
- The winning Registered Club will be the Registered Club with the most step-ups completed by their nominated Participants (counted by Davy Fitzgerald (the “Judge”) from all eligible Entries.
- The prize consists of €5,000 to be paid to the Registered Club (payment to be made to the bank account of the Registered Club).
- The Contact Person from the winning Registered Club (as disclosed on the Entry) shall be notified by telephone within 7 days of the 18th of September (the “Announcement Date”) and may be required to provide proof of age/ verification of identity of the Participants. The Judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into with the Judge. Once claimed, the winning entrants shall receive their prize within 28 days from the date they are notified.
- The winning Registered Club shall (and shall ensure that its nominated Participants) agree to the use of their name and image for promotional purposes and each agree to take part in associated publicity relating to the Competition, including media interviews, photos and videos and the publication of same in print and online media without further consent or payment where required to do so by Zurich Ireland.
- If the Registered Club has not accepted its prize within 14 days of notification that they have won, its prize may be forfeited and an alternative winning Registered Club selected.
