Can you have more than one life insurance policy?

You can have more than one life insurance policy, and, depending on your insurance provider, you may be able to save money by having all of your policies with the same company.

The majority of people take out mortgage protection cover when they buy their first home and take out life insurance or serious illness cover when they start a family. Similarly, you can purchase business protection cover if you own your own business. So, in theory, there is no limit to the number of life insurance policies you can have, but, you must disclose what policies you have if asked to do so by an insurance provider. In addition, it is advisable to review your policies as you go through life because, as your circumstances change, so too might your life insurance requirements.
