Your personal possessions are what makes a house a home and to lose or damage these items can be distressing as much as it can be costly. So doesn’t it make sense to protect these treasured items and take out contents insurance?
Contents only insurance
If you’re renting a property and only want to insure your own personal items, we offer contents only insurance which protects your possessions, furniture and electrical goods from fire damage, floods and storms, theft and accidental damage. Get a quote online and select 'Rented' (you are a tenant) when asked 'how is your property occupied', or call us in Wexford on 1890 400 300 or 053 915 7775 .
How much is enough?
The cost of your contents insurance premium will depend on the value of the items you are looking to insure. In order to make sure you are fully covered if you had to replace the contents of your home, after a fire, for example, it's important to work out how much it would cost to replace all of your contents with new items.
Home contents insurance generally covers possessions or personal items that you would, for example, like to take with you if you were moving house. Items that aren’t fixed features in your home are covered under contents insurance against loss, damage, theft, fire and water leakage. Items covered by home contents insurance include: furniture, clothes, electrical items, money and jewellery. In the event of a household emergency, all Zurich customers can avail of our 24 hour emergency assist helpline by dialling 1890 208 408. This emergency helpline means that we will be at the end of a phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help you locate a contractor for emergency repairs at a negotiated rate.
