BER rating
Building Energy Rating (BER) was first introduced in Ireland in 2009 and is a way to rate your home’s energy efficiency on a scale of A-G, with A-rated homes deemed the most energy efficient. Improving your BER will not only make your home more energy efficient, but it will also increase the value of the property and decrease your energy bills and carbon emissions. This benefit – once included as per your policy booklet – will cover you for up to four incidents per year, up to €300 per incident. Please note this cover applies to your home only, and not your garage or any outbuildings.
