Preventing water leaks
There are some weather hazards that you can’t avoid, but you can put measures in place to help reduce the risk of a water leak or damage. You should schedule regular maintenance of all parts of your home’s water system, such as the boiler, radiators, pipes and taps. In preparation for freezing temperatures, install all boilers with a thermostatic sensor that will fire up automatically when the temperature drops, and ensure pipes are lagged, particularly in the loft or roof-space areas or in outbuildings or where pipes are external.
